Do you remove carpet pad and tack strips too?
Yes. A full carpet removal includes the carpet itself, the foam or felt pad underneath, and the tack strips around the perimeter. We pull everything up and haul it all out in the same visit. You don't need to pre-cut or roll anything. We handle it from start to finish.
Can you remove carpet from multiple rooms in one visit?
Yes. We handle single rooms, multiple rooms, full floors, and whole-house jobs in a single visit. When you call, describe how many rooms and the approximate square footage and we'll give you a time estimate and price range. Most whole-house carpet removals are completed in a few hours.
Do I need to move furniture before you arrive?
For carpet removal, the floors need to be clear so we can work efficiently. We are not a moving service, so if there is furniture on the carpet we need to remove, we ask that you move it or arrange to have it moved before we arrive. If you have questions about a specific situation, call and we'll talk it through.
What happens to the old carpet?
Old carpet, pad, and tack strips are hauled to a certified disposal facility. Carpet recycling is available in limited circumstances depending on the material and condition. If you'd like us to check whether your carpet qualifies, just ask when you call. Most older carpet goes to a licensed disposal site.
How is carpet removal priced?
Carpet removal is priced per job based on the number of rooms, total square footage, and the amount of material to haul. Martin gives you a firm price on-site before we start. There are no per-strip fees, no surprise disposal charges, and no obligation to proceed if the price doesn't work for you.
Is same-day carpet removal available?
Often, yes. We run Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm. Call (503) 964-4886 and we'll check what's open. Same-day isn't guaranteed but comes through more often than not. For the best chance, call before noon. Next-day appointments are usually easy to arrange.
